Como se voluntariar para esta oportunidade
Depending on the project, volunteers may prepare approved food items from home and deliver them to the designated hospice office. Holiday meal projects may include entrées, side dishes, breads, desserts, or other requested items. Quarterly baking projects focus on homemade cookies, while cupcakes and other sweet treats are always welcome for special occasions and opportunities throughout the year.
Volunteers can choose the projects that work best with their interests, availability, and comfort level. There is no expectation to participate in every food project.
STUDENTS WELCOME
Caring Cuisine can be a meaningful way for high school and college students to gain community service experience while supporting hospice patients and families. Depending upon the requirements of your school, college, university, or other institution, participation may be eligible for community service or academic credit hours. Approval and requirements are determined by the individual institution.
No professional cooking or baking experience is necessary—just a willingness to prepare something with care and help make someone’s day a little brighter.
