Job Description

As a Marketing Outreach Specialist focused on cold calling, you will reach out to businesses across North America to secure sponsorships for DEFEND's events and initiatives. You’ll play a key role in generating support and funding for projects that make a tangible impact on online safety for children. This is a remote, commission-based volunteer position with cash bonuses based on the sponsorships you bring in.

This role is ideal for someone with a go-getter attitude who’s comfortable making calls and ready to make a difference. We’re willing to train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to selected businesses across North America to discuss sponsorship opportunities for DEFEND’s initiatives.
• Clearly communicate DEFEND’s mission and goals to potential sponsors, explaining the value and impact of their support.
• Work towards weekly and monthly sponsorship targets to help fund DEFEND’s projects and events.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, contacts, and outcomes to support organizational tracking and follow-up.
• Report to the project manager, participate in team meetings, and share insights to improve outreach strategies.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, friendly, and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and stay focused on goals.
• Comfortable speaking professionally over the phone and handling rejections gracefully.
• Previous experience in sales, marketing, or customer service is a plus but not required.
• Able to make calls during regular business hours for 4-6 hours per week.
• Interest in contributing to a mission that protects children and makes the internet safer.
