Descrição
Bedford Hospice volunteers offer valuable support to patients and families facing terminal illnesses. Volunteers do not require any medical background and do not engage in medical or personal hygiene tasks. Our volunteers provide support in various ways, such as companionship, tuck-in calls, and caregiver relief for patients, family and caregivers.
Whatever your passion or interest, there is a meaningful role for you as a volunteer with Bedford Hospice, NH. Our volunteers create their own schedule and typically commit 2-4 hours a week.
We are currently looking for volunteers for:
- Offering companionship
- Providing respite for caregivers
- Making weekly calls
- Veteran to Veteran visits and pinning ceremonies
- Providing administrative support
- Making handicraft items for patients
Professional Volunteers:
- Massage Therapy
- Reiki
- Music therapy
- Pet therapy
- Art therapy
- Hairdresser/barber
We provide comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident and at ease when volunteering with our hospice patients.
