We are seeking mentors to be paired with current college students. Wesley House Student Residence is a non-profit organization that provides housing and support services to low-income, system-impacted college students.
These students are pursuing majors such as Business, Nursing, Education, Computer Science, Psychology, Women’s Studies, Counseling in Social Change, Geology, Social Work, Accounting, Bioengineering, Pre-Med, Liberal Studies with an emphasis on Elementary Education, Biochemistry, Astronomy, and Electrical Engineering, among others.
An ideal mentor will hold at least a bachelor’s degree and be available to meet virtually for two hours per month throughout the academic year (ten months). Depending on availability, mentors may be paired with more than one student.
Mentors will work with their mentees to create educational, career, personal, and financial goals while building a supportive relationship. Although this is a virtual commitment, the ideal mentor will reside in San Diego County or a neighboring community.
