Seattle NOW is looking for a strong leader in women’s rights to become our next Vice President. We invite you to help us identify a strong, committed leader for this important role.
The Vice President plays a central role in guiding our mission, supporting our chapter and advancing legislative and advocacy work for women’s rights for all of Washington State. This position requires approximately 5–10 hours of volunteer time per week. Most work can be performed remotely from home, but we also hold events, do lobbying and meet in person occasionally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the President and the Board of Directors
- Leading advocacy for women’s rights and legislation
- Overseeing organizational direction and administration
- Recruiting and supporting officers, volunteers, and committees
- Attending monthly Board and Executive Committee meetings
- Building coalition opportunities in Seattle and statewide
