Location: 100% Remote (DFW locals welcome if you want to film in person, but not required)

The Setup

We are launching our official TikTok from total scratch—minimal followers, minor preexisting grid, and no corporate red tape.

Abandoned Pet Project is a 100% foster-based, volunteer run non-profit rescue. Because our animals live in foster homes rather than a central shelter, our content pipeline relies on real, raw moments captured on smartphones.

You won't be sifting through a massive corporate archive. Instead, you’ll help build our content sourcing process from the ground up—working with foster families and handlers to request simple video clips, snap quick photos, and capture the real, unpolished daily lives of our rescue pets.

We need someone who actually lives on TikTok to take that raw footage, own our account's voice, and turn casual scrollers into adopters, fosters, and donors.

What You’ll Do

• Build the Channel from Scratch: Set up the account, define our voice, and test what content formats actually work.
• Turn Raw Footage into Vertical Video: Edit quick, hook-driven TikToks using CapCut or native editing tools using phone clips sent in by our foster network.
• Jump on Audio & Trends Fast: Identify trending sounds, formats, and CapCut templates while they’re actually relevant and adapt them for rescue dogs.
• Feature Long-Stay Pups: Work alongside our Long-Stay Ambassadors to make targeted, viral pushes for dogs who have been waiting years for homes (like Bernie, Dobby, and Buster).
• Run the Comments: Treat the comment section like a real human—replying with humor, engaging with viewers, and building an actual community.

What We’re Looking For

• You natively understand TikTok pacing, text overlays, 3-second hooks, and trend lifecycles.
• You can edit quickly in CapCut, InShot, or TikTok’s native editor.
• You know how to balance funny, relatable content with the real, emotional side of animal rescue without being overly dramatic or depressing.
• You're excited to start at 0 and build a real following for your portfolio.
