Looking for a way to help wildlife? Want to learn how to manage native plants for your own garden? Become a Fairfield County Park District Pollinator Habitat Specialist! You’ll join a team of friendly and passionate gardeners in helping maintain our gardens for beauty and wildlife. As one of our current volunteers says:

Gardners help out anywhere between once a week and once a month during the growing season depending on the season and which garden(s) they are helping with. Tasks include:
There are no qualifications necessary to become a Pollinator Gardner aside from possessing a great attitude, passion for the outdoors, and a willingness to get down and dirty outside. Training on plant ID will be provided to interested volunteers. Volunteers may be exposed to inclement weather, biting insects, noxious plants, and other risks associated with being in an outdoor setting.
All Fairfield County Park District volunteers are subject to a background check prior to
beginning volunteer activities.
