Youth Activity Volunteer

Create positive and engaging experiences for youth ages 11-17 who are residing at Homeward Bound Shelter by leading fun, age-appropriate activities. Whether it's a board game night, baking cookies, movie night, arts and crafts, or another creative idea, you'll provide meaningful moments that build trust, confidence, and joy.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead recreastional, creative, or educational activities for youth (ages 11-17)
• Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
• Build positive rapport with youth while maintaining appropriate boundaries
• Collaborate with staff to ensure activities align with program guidelines
• Help with setup and cleanup of activity materials

Qualifications:

• Enjoy working with teens
• Have a hobby, talent, or skill to share
• Are creative, patient, and dependable
• Want to make a postive impact in a youth's day

Rquirements: Must be at least 21 years of age. Background checks required.

Schedule: Flexible - weekday evenings or weekends preferred. Volunteers can lead one - time or reoccuring activities.
