Description
South Project is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering young moms through mentorship, resources, and community support. We are looking for a volunteer to help by being a Volunteer Manager to assist with the coordination, and engagement of volunteers across all programs and initiatives. This is a remote volunteer position ideal for someone with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills who wants to gain experience in nonprofit management and make a meaningful impact.
What You'll Do:
- Provide orientation, training, and ongoing support to volunteers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, responding to questions and concerns promptly.
- Match volunteers with opportunities that align with their skills and the organization’s needs.
- Coordinate volunteer recognition efforts, including appreciation events and communications.
- Collaborate with staff to identify and develop meaningful volunteer roles.
- Track and report on volunteer engagement to organizational leadership.
- Support the creation of a positive, inclusive, and welcoming volunteer culture.
Time Commitment:
- Flexible, remote role
- Estimated 5-10 hours per week
