Do you have a friendly pet and a heart for helping others? As a Pet Therapy Volunteer with CorsoCare, you
and your trained pet will bring comfort, joy, and companionship to patients in hospice care.
What You’ll Do
Visit patients with your trained therapy pet, offering companionship and emotional support
Bring comfort and smiles through gentle interaction, petting, and shared presence
Support families by providing a positive, uplifting experience during visits
Participate in light activity or play with patients when appropriate, helping to brighten their day

Requirements
Compassion, reliability, and a love of animals
Pet must be a canine good citizen, registered with a reputable pet therapy organization, or certified
as an emotional support animal
Acceptable animals include dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small, calm pets suitable for therapy visits
All pet therapy teams are subject to a final evaluation with a volunteer coordinator to ensure
temperament and compatibility with program standards
Completion of volunteer training program
Background check and TB test

Specific assignment location will be within 30 minutes of the selected city.
