Every Sunday Norwood Crossing holds church service from 9:45 to 11:15 AM and 1:30 to 3:15 PM. It is a non-denominational Christian service. Volunteers will help set-up and transport residents from their room to the service.
Residents sing hymns, pray, and listen to readings.
Holy Communion is on the first Sunday of the month.
Impact:
Many volunteers and residents form friendships which enhance the lives of both but most of all you would be helping by enriching the lives our our residents.
Some duties:
- Sit with a resident and help them follow the hymns and readings
- Transport from their room to the chapel
Benefits of your commitment:
• You will make a difference in the lives of our senior residents
• Have fun and make friends with residents, staff, & volunteers
Qualifications:
• Able to safely transport residents in their wheelchairs (training provided)
• Able to commit to being here on time every week for the full two hours. Advance notice of absences is most helpful to the rest of the team of volunteers and staff.
