The Human Health Project is seeking a motivated, experienced leader with a passion for healthcare to volunteer as Clinical Director for our Healthcare Access for All initiative.
In this volunteer role, you will serve as the senior accountable leader across multiple program workstreams, collaborating closely HHP team leads, community collaborators, and the HHP members who drive volunteer operations, expansion strategy, and mission outcomes.
The Clinical Director acts as the medical director and advisor for all programs with clinical aspects, which includes participating as a key senior manager in planning, developing, organizing, and directing health programs.
As clinical director, you will
- Establish and maintain a safe working environment
- Assure proper use of HHP resources and hold individuals accountable if non-compliant
- Assure completion of volunteer requirements including mandatory training
- Investigate and resolve incident reports as necessary
- Align strategic compass with HHP’s organizational mission, vision, and values
- Equitably and consistently apply and practice policies and procedures for all volunteers
- Practice and encourage volunteer readiness in compliance with agency regulations and guidelines
- Respond to client issues within a reasonable time frame and to the satisfaction of the client
- Hold regular meetings to maintain smooth operations and update volunteers on any emergent changes
- Oversee fiscal responsibilities including maintaining volunteer credentials for medical reimbursement and keeping up to date on reimbursement protocols
- Support clinicians and clinical volunteers to ensure timely and consistent responses to members and providers
- Provide guidance for clinical operational aspects of HHP programs
- Conduct peer-to-peer clinical reviews with volunteers and clinical providers to review clinical determinations
- Serve as a resource and consultant for other areas of the HHP team, including health educational material development
- Interpret medical policies and clinical guidelines.
- Develop and propose new medical policies based on changes in healthcare.
- Lead, develop, direct, and implement clinical and non-clinical activities that impact health care quality cost and outcomes.
- Identify and develop opportunities for innovation to increase effectiveness and quality
In order to ensure success, we ask that you have the following:
- Relevant education in healthcare and/or business leadership
- Direct managerial experience in managing teams, programs, and outcomes at a high level
- Enough free time to commit to our cause in a meaningful manner
