Empower And Help is a Non-Profit Organization that empowers teens to become global citizens and leaders of tomorrow by providing opportunities to encourage social growth and alliances across geographical borders. Our vision is to build Future Leaders with integrity who make this world a better place for themselves and others. TeenVentures, a youth-led magazine under the nonprofit Empower And Help, is looking for a diverse group of teens to join our team for Issue IV — both in print and digital!

Role Description

This is a year-long volunteer opportunity where you'll help launch Issue IV of a physical and digital magazine from start to finish — and build critical skills along the way.

What You'll Do:

• Writing and researching original articles that inspire and inform
• Proofreading and editing content for clarity and impact
• Collaborating with team members to shape the magazine’s voice and direction
• Creating engaging social media content to promote the magazine
• Marketing the magazine through related events
• Leading outreach efforts to grow readership through various platforms
• Gather feedback from the teen community
• Assisting with sponsorship outreach and partnership development
• Participating in and conducting fundraisers to launch the magazine
• Participating in teen-led committees (Outreach, Marketing, Editorial, etc.) — with leadership opportunities in future issues
• Attending weekly Google Meet sessions to brainstorm, plan, and connect with your team

📅 Commitment:

• Year-long volunteer role
• Remote collaboration with occasional in-person events (location-dependent)

🎯 Qualifications:

We’re looking for teens who are:

• Applicants must be in grades 8-12 and attending school in the United States
• Passionate about entrepreneurship, storytelling, media, or social impact
• Stronger Communication and Collaboration skills
• Self-motivated and open to learning new skills
• Open to learn or are comfortable using digital tools (Google Docs, Canva, social media platforms, etc.)
• Experience in working at your school newspaper or any other publication is a plus
• Reliable and able to commit to a year-long volunteer role
• Eager to bring fresh ideas and take initiative

No prior experience required — just enthusiasm and a willingness to grow!
