Board Member

The YWCA of New York City (YW-NYC) Board of Directors is comprised of talented professionals who are dedicated to the organization's mission of eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. Our goal is to broaden and diversify our dynamic team with new voices and varied perspectives as we implement our strategic plan and growth process. We are actively seeking new board members who reflect the cultural diversity of the communities we serve.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership in one of the following areas - Communications/PR, Technology, Finance, Healthcare, Non-Profit Management, Legal or Social Justice. We are actively seeking men as well as women. Our bylaws recently changed to allow men to join our board.

Our organization is led by Alba Rodriguez, a dedicated advocator community growth and development with over 20 years of experience in nonprofit management for human services, youth development and educational opportunities.
