Survivor Voices Wanted for Army Pink PSA
Army Pink is seeking survivors of domestic violence who are willing to share their voice and experience in a short public service announcement about safety, transportation, and freedom.
We are creating a powerful 60–90 second PSA to introduce Army Pink and our Pathway to Freedom rides program — a program providing safe, reliable transportation to help survivors leave domestic violence and begin their path to freedom.
For this project, we are looking for survivors who are comfortable recording and submitting a short video of themselves speaking about their experience and/or what access to safe transportation can mean when someone is trying to leave.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for authentic, personal voices that can help communicate the reality behind the need for safe transportation.
You might share:
- What it was like trying to leave
- Challenges you experienced when transportation was not available
- What having a safe ride could have meant to you
- What safety and freedom mean to you now
- A short message of hope for another survivor who may be trying to leave
You do not need to tell your entire story. In fact, we encourage you to share only what you feel comfortable sharing.
Your contribution can be as simple as a 30–60 second video recorded on your phone. We will provide guidance on what to say and how to record it.
How Your Story Will Be Used
Your video may be edited into Army Pink’s 60–90 second PSA and shared on our social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
We want the finished PSA to feel human, honest, and real. Survivor voices will help us show why safe transportation can be such an important part of reaching safety and beginning a path forward.
We will not ask you to reenact your experience or recreate traumatic situations, and we are not looking for graphic details. We want your voice, your perspective, and your truth.
Who Should Apply
This opportunity is for survivors of domestic violence who:
- Feel comfortable sharing a short video for public awareness
- Want to help other survivors understand that they are not alone
- Believe access to safe transportation can make a difference
- Are comfortable having their submitted video potentially used in Army Pink’s public PSA and social media
You do not need to be a professional speaker or content creator. Your authentic voice is what matters.
Important
Your safety and comfort come first. Please only participate if you feel safe doing so. You may share as much or as little as you are comfortable sharing, and we will provide additional information about the project and video consent process before your submission is used.
If you would like to lend your voice to this project, we would love to hear from you.
Help us tell the story behind the ride — from crisis to safety, one ride at a time.
