AmeriCorps Member - Business & Communications

Duties: The AmeriCorps position will be a Business & Communications member for the Phoenix Scholar House program at Save the Family Foundation. More information on the Phoenix Scholar House program. https://phoenixscholarhouse.org. This position will help with the following:

• Screen potential scholars for this unique educational focused program.
• Assist with ongoing documentation of all scholars involved in the program.
• Contact scholars and get them signed up for programming (orientation, 1:1 meetings, budgeting, classes, etc.)
• Help conduct orientations with other CM staff monthly.
• Build relationships in the community focused on educational supports, financial assistance, scholarships, childcare, etc.
• Assist in building and strengthening various program components, parenting classes, support classes for the scholars, resources for the youth in the program, community partners, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School or GED required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in grammar and spelling.
• Be able to proficiently speak, read and write the English language.
• Demonstrate cultural competence, treat everyone with dignity, celebrate the diversity of our community, and be inclusive of all people in our community.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and clean driving record are required.
• 21 years of age or older for liability insurance requirements.
• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card OR must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Eligible to work in the United States of America.
• The candidate must have flexible availability as this position has a varied work schedule and may include evenings and occasional Saturday events.
