Volunteer Role Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate volunteers or interns with backgrounds or interests in social work, psychology, gerontology, or community mental health to support our growing programs. Volunteers will assist in research, outreach, event planning, and educational initiatives focused on immigrant and cross-cultural mental wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and facilitation of educational workshops on emotional literacy, adaptation, and identity.
- Assist with community outreach to youth, families, and seniors.
- Conduct research and help create educational materials related to mental health awareness.
- Contribute to social media campaigns, newsletters, and community storytelling projects.
- Help coordinate partnership activities and volunteer recruitment efforts.
- (Optional) Assist with bilingual translation (English–Chinese) for outreach materials or communications.
Qualifications
- Interest or background in psychology, social work, gerontology, education, or nonprofit studies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for mental health advocacy and cross-cultural understanding.
- Fluency in English required; Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) a plus.
- Prior volunteer or community experience preferred but not required.
