Become a Reading Tutor. Change a Life.
Help a child who struggles to read, write, and spell due to dyslexia or below-grade-level reading challenges. Dyslexia affects up to 1 in 5 people and is the most common reading-related learning difference, yet it is still only beginning to be widely recognized and addressed in many public schools.
By becoming a paid volunteer tutor ($15 per hour), you can be a true game changer for a child who is struggling to read. Our tutors and volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization, and the gift of reading is truly invaluable.
Please consider becoming a tutor.
After completing a flat paid training stipend (5 hours initially, then 5 hours each level of the program the child masters after that), a commitment of 4–6 hours per week is all it takes to make a meaningful impact.
Please note: Tutors must be available for at least four- six hours per week, working with students for one-hour sessions.
