All volunteers must go through a background check, drug screen, TB test and orientation and training. This is all done at no cost to the applicant.

Be the smile that makes their day! Gentiva Hospice provides care to patients in nursing homes, many of whom have no family close enough to visit often. You can make the difference by sharing a smile, holding a hand, or listening to the stories of these patients! Whether you visit for 15 minutes or spend time doing an activity, our patients will love you!
Your service is deeply appreciated, and opportunities include providing companionship and socialization, emotional and spiritual support. All training is provided at our office on Dauphin Street.
