Member Events Assistant

Calling all party people: New Horizons needs your support to help us put on some AMAZING Member events!

In addition to empowering individuals with special needs (age 16 and older) to reach their full potential and fulfill their dreams by way of programs and services, New Horizons is also known for throwing some amazing parties! These gatherings encourage fun socialization opportunities in a safe environment, allowing our Members to lead full, well-rounded lives.

We are currenlty seeking volunteers to assist our Member and Family Events and Community Resource Coordinator with Member events prep. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Setting up photobooth area;
• Assisting with building balloon arches/columns;
• Light set-up of tables and chairs;
• Setting tablecloth, centerpieces;
• Arranging food and untensils in food service area;
• Decorating the banquet hall;
• Light food and beverage prep;
• Other duties as needed.

Ideal candidate would be available Fridays--during the day and early afternoon--and be able to lift up to 5 lbs., feel comfortable with working on their feet, and possses a good attitude!

This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity with immediate needs on select dates.
