URGENT! Friendly Visitor Volunteers Needed for Holocaust Survivors in New York City area

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community?
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated volunteers to become Friendly Visitors for Holocaust survivors living in the New York City area. Your time and kindness can bring joy, companionship and support to those who have experienced unimaginable hardships.
Our current opportunities are in Manhattan, Queens, Nassau County, Washington Heights, Bronx (Riverdale) and Brooklyn.
As a Friendly Visitor Volunteer, you'll make regular visits to a local Holocaust survivor (weekly or biweekly with a phone call in between). Volunteers provide companionship, engage in conversation and lend a listening ear. You'll have the opportunity to develop a personal connection and contribute to the well-being and quality of life for a member of this special community.
Must be able to make a 6 month commitment.
