We seek an experienced SEO Copywriter to audit our website and social channels. Clearer, SEO-optimized copy and a consistent brand voice will increase reach and engagement for our educational storytelling platform, helping attract participants, crowdsourced solutions, and resources for grassroots organizations. Volunteers will directly help amplify community stories and support practical connections to aid.
Responsibilities:
- Assess site and socials to help define a consistent brand personality/voice that fits our mission and audience, creating guidelines that can be applied by our team
- Conduct keyword research and documentation
- Update site copy with the goal of improving user experience and engagement, applying newly identified brand personality guidelines and keywords, recommending any additional content/sections and crafting copy for new content
- SEO optimization: Apply knowledge of SEO principles to write content that appeals to both search engines and human readers. This includes optimizing for readability, keyword density, and search intent.
- Performance analysis: Analyze data to understand what content performs well and make adjustments to improve search engine rankings and user experience
Qualifications:
- Strong writing and editing skills: Ability to create compelling and clear content that aligns with a brand's voice.
- Solid understanding of SEO: Knowledge of search engine algorithms, keyword research, and on-page optimization techniques.
- Analytical skills: Proficient in using SEO tools (like Google Analytics) and interpreting data to inform strategy.
- Creativity and adaptability: Balances technical SEO requirements with creative storytelling to create valuable content that also ranks well.
