Help Shape the Vision Behind TEDxSouthlake
TEDxSouthlake is seeking an Adult Volunteer Co-Director of Marketing to help guide the strategy, storytelling, and overall direction of our marketing and communications efforts. This leadership role collaborates closely with the marketing team and board to ensure that our messaging, campaigns, and outreach reflect the spirit of TEDxSouthlake.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys thinking strategically while empowering a creative volunteer team.
Responsibilities:
- Help refine marketing strategy, brand voice, and storytelling direction
- Collaborate with team leads across marketing, content, and social media
- Coordinate and oversee the social media posting calendar, ensuring content is scheduled and aligned across platforms
- Help maintain a central marketing calendar for campaigns, announcements, and key milestones
- Support planning and execution of campaigns for speaker reveals, ticket sales, and community engagement across owned media
- Guide and support volunteer contributors, helping to keep projects organized and moving forward
- Identify opportunities to amplify reach through partnerships, community engagement, and cross-platform storytelling
- Monitor high-level performance insights and help adjust strategy based on what resonates with the audience
Ideal Candidate:
A strategic thinker with experience in marketing, communications, brand strategy, or nonprofit leadership. Someone who enjoys mentoring others and translating big ideas into coordinated action.
Location:
Remote, but the desire to meet in person for the event in Southlake, TX, in November 2026.
Time Commitment:
Approximately 2-5 hours/week, including virtual monthly meetings.
