Descrição
We are looking for Veteran Volunteers who want to make a difference in a Veteran's life. There are no special skills required just a desire to make a difference. The goal of Veteran volunteer recruitment is to engage the larger Veteran community in improving end-of-life care of Veterans.
A Veteran to Veteran Volunteer provides a bond to other veterans like no one else can. How you serve is completely up to you!! Here are a few examples:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to fellow Veterans and their caregivers.
- Provide respite (sitting with the Veteran) while the caregiver runs errands.
- Assisting Veterans in enrolling and accessing VA benefits.
- Send cards, call patients and caregivers
- Participating in our Veteran recognition and pinning ceremonies.
The Veteran Volunteer must be at least 18 years of age, a Veteran, or Active Reservist, or Retired Veteran.
