    Law & Human Rights Volunteer Programme in South Africa

    The Law & Human Rights volunteer programme offers practical, real-world experience for university students, graduates, and master’s students studying Law, Criminology, International Development, Politics, and related fields.

    This hands-on placement is designed to provide case-based legal training in Human Rights Law, advocacy experience, and the chance to work on social justice and legal support initiatives for vulnerable and marginalised groups.

    This programme is perfect for those who want to engage in meaningful legal work, gain firsthand insight into human rights challenges, and work alongside professionals at a leading NGO human rights organisation in South Africa.

    Volunteer Programme Focus Areas

    • Work with an independent, non-profit human rights NGO.
    • Receive case-based legal training in Human Rights Law.
    • Assist with legal support for vulnerable and marginalised communities.
    • Get involved in community outreach and mobilisation efforts.

    Programme Fees

    • Registration Fee: £265
    • Programme Costs: £2000 for 8 weeks Internship

    This is a self-funded experience, and your fees help us provide a safe, structured, and fully supported programme. They cover accommodation, meals, in-country transport, and 24/7 support, ensuring you have a meaningful and well-organised placement.

    Fees are reinvested back into our partner projects, supporting sustainable development and ethical volunteering. Fees vary depending on the programme and length of stay.
