    Criminology & Law Volunteer Programmes in South Africa & Ghana

    The Criminology & Law volunteer programmes offer hands-on, practical experience for university students, graduates, and master’s students studying Criminology, Law, or related subjects.

    These placements provide a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in criminal justice, victim support, legal reform, and crime prevention while working alongside professionals in Ghana and South Africa.

    Volunteer Programme Focus Areas

    • Learn about criminal justice and penal systems in a developing country.
    • Visit prisons, courts, police stations, and legal aid organisations.
    • Work alongside criminologists, legal professionals, and victim support teams.
    • Assist with ex-convict reintegration, crime prevention initiatives, and legal reform efforts.
    • Observe and participate in court cases, mock trials, and legal advocacy work.
    • Gain insight into criminological psychology, trauma, and victimisation.
    • Learn how criminal investigations, prosecution, and sentencing work in different legal systems.

    Programme Fees

    • Programme Costs: Start from £400 and vary based on duration and location.

    This is a self-funded experience, and your fees help us provide a safe, structured, and fully supported programme. They cover accommodation, meals, in-country transport, and 24/7 support, ensuring you have a meaningful and well-organised placement.

    Fees are reinvested back into our partner projects, supporting sustainable development and ethical volunteering. Fees vary depending on the programme and length of stay.
