About LoopRoots Foundation

LoopRoots Foundation is a national nonprofit organization committed to breaking cycles of incarceration, poverty, and violence by providing transportation assistance, workforce development, youth programming, housing support, family services, and community-based initiatives.

We are currently building a comprehensive Youth Sports Program designed to ensure every child has the opportunity to participate in organized athletics regardless of financial circumstances.

Position Overview

LoopRoots Foundation is seeking a passionate, organized, and visionary Director of Youth Sports Programs to lead the development and implementation of our growing youth sports initiative.

This individual will oversee the creation of a scalable program that removes financial barriers to participation while building partnerships with schools, leagues, coaches, athletic organizations, community partners, and corporate sponsors.

This is an exciting opportunity to help build a national youth sports program from the ground up and make a lasting impact on children and families across the country.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the LoopRoots Youth Sports Program.
• Create the overall program strategy, policies, and operational framework.
• Develop seasonal sports leagues, clinics, and youth camps.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteer coaches and program volunteers.
• Build partnerships with schools, parks and recreation departments, youth sports organizations, athletic facilities, and community organizations.
• Develop scholarship opportunities for youth experiencing financial hardship.
• Coordinate equipment donations, sponsorships, and fundraising initiatives.
• Work with the marketing and media teams to promote the program.
• Assist with grant research and funding opportunities related to youth athletics.
• Help expand the program into multiple communities and states.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in youth sports, coaching, athletics, recreation, education, or nonprofit leadership.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience developing community partnerships is a plus.
• Passion for mentoring youth and creating opportunities for underserved communities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a growing leadership team.

Time Commitment

20–25 hours per week

Flexible schedule with virtual meetings and occasional in-person opportunities as the program expands.

Growth Opportunity

This is a volunteer leadership position. As LoopRoots Foundation continues to grow, qualified volunteers may have the opportunity to transition into paid positions by the end of the year, based on organizational funding, performance, leadership, attendance, and program growth.
