As a Welcome Desk volunteer, you are essentially the face of the center, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Your role involves handling a variety of tasks to ensure smooth operations and a positive experience for everyone who enters.
●Greeting visitors: Greet guests by name if possible when entering the senior center, offering a friendly smile and greeting.
●Answering phone calls: Professionally answer incoming calls, take messages, and direct inquiries to the relevant staff members.
●Providing information: Offer details about center programs, activities, and schedules.
●Registration, check-in, and kiosk: Give first-time visitors a confidential Customer Registration process for new members, check in existing members for meals and activities, and maintain sign-in sheets and kiosk.
●Directing visitors: Guide visitors to the correct location within the center, including meeting rooms, activity areas, offices, and dining areas.
●Maintaining reception area: Keep the contribution desk clean and organized, ensure signage is updated and materials are readily available.
●Contributions: Overseeing the Sign-in and the Contribution process: assuring that every person signs in, provides correct guidance for contributions and payments, providing paid guest assistance, and handles cash and contributions in compliance with regulations and audit requirements.
