Through our podcast and talk show channel, we break the silence surrounding trauma, abuse, and injustice fostering healing, community, and systemic change. The Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and dynamic Talk Show Host to lead and co-produce our survivor-centered talk show episodes. This is a meaningful volunteer opportunity for someone with a heart for advocacy and a voice for justice. You will be a central figure in creating safe, compelling, and impactful conversations that uplift our guests and inspire our audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Host recorded and/or live talk show episodes featuring survivor guests, advocates, and community experts
• Conduct pre-show research and prepare thoughtful, trauma-informed interview questions
• Create a warm, safe, and empowering environment for guests sharing sensitive personal stories
• Collaborate with the production team on episode themes, scripts, and scheduling
• Represent Stop Now Foundation’s values of dignity, empathy, and empowerment in all on-air interactions
• Promote episodes on social media and contribute to audience engagement efforts
• Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and regular check-ins with leadership
• Assist with light editing review, show notes, or promotional copy as needed

Qualifications:

Required

• Demonstrated experience in hosting, broadcasting, journalism, public speaking, or related field
• Exceptional verbal communication skills with a warm, empathetic on-air presence
• Commitment to trauma-informed principles and sensitivity when working with survivors
• Strong active listening skills and ability to guide conversations with care and purpose
• Reliable internet connection, quality microphone, and quiet recording space
• Passion for social justice, survivor advocacy, and community storytelling

Preferred (Not Required)

• Prior podcast or talk show hosting experience
• Background in social work, counseling, journalism, or advocacy
• Experience working with non-profits or volunteer organizations
• Bilingual abilities (Spanish or other languages a strong plus)
• Familiarity with platforms such as Zoom, Teams or similar recording tools
