Board of Directors Member (Hands-On Working Board)
Detalhes
Descrição
About Us: Farm of the Free (FOTF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Good Hope, GA, providing a sanctuary to farmed animals and inspiring compassionate, plant-forward living. While our Executive Director handles daily operations and direct animal care, our Board of Directors focuses on governance, financial health, and strategic planning for the long haul.
The Role: We are seeking action-oriented leaders for our hands-on working Board of Directors. We break our goals down into focused committees and rely on our members to roll up their sleeves and execute projects rather than just talking about them.
Time & Tech Expectations:
- Monthly Commitment: Attendance at one 2-hour virtual meeting per month, plus one physical volunteer day (including a community potluck!) at the sanctuary in Good Hope, GA.
- Weekly Commitment: Expect about 1 to 5 hours a week of flexible, independent work dedicated to your specific committee tasks.
- Tech Literacy: Because we operate remotely outside of sanctuary days, you must be comfortable actively checking and using Asana and Google Workspace multiple times a week to track tasks and stay in the loop.
Fundraising & Financial Commitment: We rely 100% on donations to keep our doors open. Every board member needs to actively help with fundraising campaigns or events, and make a personally meaningful annual financial contribution that fits comfortably within their own budget.
Who We Are Looking For: We welcome individuals at any stage of their vegan journey, provided you wholeheartedly align with our mission. To balance our current team, we are specifically looking for people with real-world experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Fundraising & Donor Relations
- Grant Writing
- Event Coordination & Planning
- Human Resources (HR)
- Sales or Business Development
- Working with or for Nonprofits
If you are a reliable, self-motivated communicator who is ready to build something lasting for the animals, you'll feel right at home.
