Volunteer Special Events Coordinator

Our Genetic Legacy is seeking a Volunteer Special Events Coordinator to support two major events: our Swimathon Fundraiser (May 2, 2026) and We The People Museum Relaunch (September 18–20, 2026).

The coordinator will help plan and manage logistics, fundraising, corporate sponsorship outreach, marketing, and community engagement, while working closely with youth interns and volunteers. Duties include timelines and checklists, vendor and venue coordination, volunteer scheduling, sponsor communication, and day-of-event support.

A San Diego–based volunteer is preferred, with availability on all event dates and flexible planning hours beforehand. Experience with event planning, fundraising, sponsorship outreach, working with youth/volunteers, or marketing is helpful; passion for community impact matters most.
