Rise UP Mental Health Sanctuary, Inc. is seeking up to 3 student journalists to conduct short, professional red-carpet interviews during the Red Tie Scholarship Gala at the Baton Rouge Marriott. This is a one-night volunteer role focused on quick guest soundbites that highlight community support for scholarships and legacy work.
Date/Time: Saturday, March 21, 2026
- Arrive: 5:45 PM
- Red carpet interviews: 6:00–7:00 PM
What you’ll do:
- Conduct brief on-camera interviews with arriving guests during the 6:00–7:00 PM red-carpet window
- Confirm guest names/titles as needed
- Record clear video/audio on your smartphone
- Upload and share all interview clips after 7:00 PM using the upload link we provide
Requirements:
- Current student (journalism, mass comm, media, or related interest welcome)
- Comfortable speaking on camera and approaching guests professionally
- Recording requirement: Volunteers must record interviews on a smartphone in 1080p/30 (not 4K) and arrive with at least 5 GB of free storage
- Able to upload clips the same night (or by the next morning, if needed)

Thank you for your interest. This role supports red-carpet guest interviews for the Red Tie Scholarship Gala.
- Date/Time: March 21, 2026 — please arrive by 5:45 PM. Interview window is 6:00–7:00 PM.
- What to bring: A smartphone capable of recording 1080p/30 (not 4K) with at least 5 GB of free storage, plus a charger/power bank if you have one.
- After the role: You must upload and share your interview clips after 7:00 PM using the upload link we provide.
- Professional standards: Keep interviews brief and respectful, and move on immediately if a guest declines.
