Position Overview

Give Her SPACE is seeking a creative and passionate Volunteer Videographer Intern to help capture and share the stories that bring our mission to life. This role is ideal for a student or emerging creative interested in videography, filmmaking, digital storytelling, nonprofit communications, or content creation.

The Videographer Intern will film community events, create engaging short-form videos, and produce visual content that highlights the impact of our programs while inspiring current and future members, volunteers, donors, and supporters.

Responsibilities

• Film community events, workshops, fundraisers, and special programs.
• Capture high-quality video footage, interviews, and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Edit videos for social media, website, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
• Create short-form vertical videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Collaborate with the Social Media and Marketing team to develop engaging visual campaigns.
• Assist with planning video concepts, storyboards, and shot lists.
• Organize and maintain a digital library of video footage and project files.
• Ensure videos align with Give Her SPACE's branding and mission.
• Capture authentic stories that showcase community impact while respecting participant privacy and obtaining appropriate permissions.
• Stay informed on video trends, editing techniques, and social media best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current college student, recent graduate, or individual seeking experience in videography, media production, communications, or digital marketing.
• Experience filming with DSLR, mirrorless cameras, smartphones, or similar equipment.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of lighting, framing, composition, and audio recording.
• Comfortable creating content optimized for social media platforms.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Respectful of diverse Muslim cultures and committed to representing the organization with professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and authenticity.
• Photography experience is a plus.
