Family Volunteer Trip to Copán Ruinas with Chispa Project

Hello! I’m Sara, founder of Chispa Project, which creates children's libraries and literacy programs in Honduras. This year, we’re excited to offer a special volunteer trip just for families, giving kids the chance to experience cultural immersion and the joy of giving back. (Note: You do not have to come down with your family - any and all are welcome!)

Join us to help set up a new school library from the ground up! Families and kids can paint, label, and organize books, and participate in the library’s grand opening. Children will engage with local Honduran students, play language games, and enjoy Honduran culture and food—all in a trip designed just for them.

We’ll also have fun activities, like a visit to the archaeological site and a chocolate tasting. There will be something for everyone. Don’t miss this unique experience!
