Digital Outreach & Promotion Volunteer

The African Cultural Heritage Hub Inc. (ACHH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting African cultural heritage through storytelling, traditional arts, music, documentaries, youth programs, publications, and community events.

ACHH works to make African heritage more visible, accessible, and engaging for children, families, schools, diaspora communities, and the wider public.

Opportunity

ACHH is seeking a Digital Outreach & Promotion Volunteer to help increase awareness of our mission, programs, publications, cultural education resources, donation campaigns, and community activities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys social media, storytelling, nonprofit communications, cultural content, digital promotion, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

The volunteer may help with:

• Creating and scheduling social media posts
• Promoting ACHH programs, events, publications, documentaries, and donation campaigns
• Sharing cultural heritage content related to African storytelling, arts, music, dance, and youth education
• Helping develop simple graphics, captions, newsletters, or short promotional messages
• Identifying online communities, groups, schools, libraries, and cultural organizations that may be interested in ACHH’s work
• Supporting outreach through Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Idealist, newsletters, and community platforms
• Helping ACHH build a consistent and professional public presence
• Repurposing existing ACHH materials into short posts, flyers, announcements, and updates

Ideal Candidates

This role may be a good fit for someone with interest or experience in:

• Social media management
• Digital marketing
• Nonprofit communications
• Community outreach
• Canva or basic graphic design
• Writing captions, newsletters, or short promotional copy
• Arts, culture, African heritage, education, storytelling, or youth programs

Professional experience is welcome but not required. Students, early-career professionals, retirees, creatives, and community-minded volunteers are encouraged to apply.

Time Commitment

Estimated commitment: 2–4 hours per week, flexible.

We are especially interested in volunteers who can help ACHH maintain a steady weekly presence online.

Location

Remote volunteer opportunity. Atlanta-area volunteers are also welcome.
