At Heartland Hospice, we care for patients during one of life’s most difficult stages—and we’re just as committed to supporting their families. Our team offers clinical, emotional, spiritual, and practical care to help make each day a little easier.
Caregiving can be both rewarding and exhausting, and that’s where our volunteers make a real difference. Whether it’s helping with light housekeeping, yard work, running errands, or preparing a simple meal, your time and kindness bring relief and comfort to families when they need it most.
Volunteers set their own schedules, and we typically ask for a 2–4 hour shift once or twice a month throughout the patient’s time on hospice service. We provide thorough training and ongoing support to make sure you feel confident and connected every step of the way.
Our office is located in the Nora area, but we serve families all across Central Indiana. Volunteers must be 18 or older and provide their own transportation.
