Help Clean Up Our Environment on Fridays: Become An e-CYCLING Volunteer!

Calling all tree huggers!

We have an ongoing need for volunteers to help with the Good News Project's e-CYCLING program. Volunteers are needed every Friday between the hours of 9-4 to help keep electronic waste out of our landfills. Our scheduling is very flexible; you can choose to volunteer every Friday or once or twice a month, full days, half days, or just a couple of hours.

Key Activities:

1. Customer Service: Greet customers, fill out customer form, advocate for Good News Project
2. Lifter/Sorter: Unload cars to wagons, weigh electronics, sort electronics into shipping containers

What to wear: Dress for the weather; we suggest layers. Wear comfortable closed-toed shoes. Electronics can be dirty so please plan accordingly.

Physical requirements:

• Ability to stand for the duration of your shift.
• As a lifter/sorter you would be required to lift 50lbs.

Not sure if this is the right volunteer project for you? We recommend that new volunteers come in and take a tour. You can even schedule to do a trial shift with no commitment!
