Sponsor Outreach Volunteer — Charity Golf Tournament

Help us find the businesses that will fund a computer lab in rural Kenya.

Africa Tech for Tomorrow Foundation (ATFT) is a San Francisco 501(c)(3) teaching digital and AI skills to young people in rural Kenya. We have thirty computers in our Mvono lab today. A hundred is the goal. This is about employability — not access to a screen, but the practical skills that lead to work.

On Friday 23 October we're hosting our first charity golf tournament, Tee Off for Tech Africa, at Paradise Valley Golf Course in Fairfield. Most of the money raised will come from sponsors — which makes this the most important volunteer role we have.

What you'll do

• Work a prepared list of Bay Area and Solano County businesses (already researched and prioritised)
• Find the right contact, send personalised emails from our templates, and follow up by phone
• Pitch Tee Sign sponsorships ($1,500, includes a team of four) and smaller or in-kind support
• Log every contact and reply in a shared tracker
• Pass larger sponsorship leads to our founder

You'll be great at this if you

• Are comfortable picking up the phone and asking for support
• Write a clear, friendly email
• Have sales, business development, fundraising or community-relations experience (a plus, not required)
• Know Bay Area or Solano County businesses — a big advantage

What you get: real fundraising and business-development experience, a reference from the founder, and a direct line from your work to devices in a Kenyan classroom.
