Community Engagement Lead

We are looking for a passionate and independent individual to join PAGE Africa as our Community Engagement Lead. This is a foundational role where you'll be at the heart of our mission, helping us re-energize and grow our community from the ground up.

About PAGE Africa

PAGE Africa is a movement dedicated to the holistic wellbeing of students. We believe that for students to succeed, they need more than just academics. They need good health, quality learning opportunities, and a clear path to meaningful work.

Our work is inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:

• SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being
• SDG 4: Quality Education
• SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

Our greatest strength is our community. We started as a WhatsApp group in Nigeria and are now restructuring to become a non-profit with a vision to expand across Africa. By creating a supportive network, we empower students to thrive in all areas of their lives.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Community Engagement Lead, you will be the main person driving the energy and growth of our community. Your mission is to make our community a vibrant, supportive, and active space for every member.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Community Revitalization: Breathe new life into our WhatsApp community by starting interesting conversations, sharing valuable content, and running fun, engaging activities.
• Program Development: Think of and organize online and offline programs that help our members learn and connect.
• Building a Champion Network: Find, recruit, and support enthusiastic members to become "Community Champions" who will lead PAGE Africa activities in their universities, states, and eventually, other countries.
• Member Connection: Get to know our community members, understand what they need, and use their feedback to make our initiatives better.
• Event Coordination: Plan and host our physical "Hub Meetings" in different locations to build stronger, face-to-face connections.
• Growth and Strategy: Work independently to come up with new ideas on how we can grow our community and deepen our impact.

• A Creative Thinker: You can think on your feet and come up with fresh, practical ideas to solve problems and engage people.
• An Excellent Communicator: You are great at communicating simply and clearly, especially in writing for platforms like WhatsApp or other community-based platforms.
• Organized and Reliable: You can manage multiple tasks at once, from planning an event to keeping track of our community champions.
