Are you 55 or older and looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? AmeriCorps Seniors is currently recruiting dedicated volunteers for two rewarding programs:
❤️ Foster Grandparent Program – Support children in San Francisco schools and childcare centers through tutoring, mentoring, and classroom activities that help them learn and grow.
💙 Senior Companion Program – Provide companionship and support to older adults, helping them remain independent in their homes and at senior centers.
No experience? No problem! We provide comprehensive training before you're matched with a volunteer site, so you'll feel confident, prepared, and supported every step of the way. After training, we'll place you at a local Head Start program, school, senior center, or adult day center based on program needs.
Volunteer Commitment:
✅ Age 55+
✅ Live in San Francisco, California
✅ 10–20+ hours per week
✅ Long-term volunteers are encouraged to make a lasting impact in the San Francisco community.

Application Instructions
To apply for the AmeriCorps Seniors Programs, please follow the steps below:
- Submit a Volunteer Application:
- You can apply directly through VolunteerMatch by clicking the link in the posting and submitting the Volunteer Interest Form. To access the form:
- Scroll down to the “How to Apply” section and click Volunteer Interest Form.
- You can then submit the form either via email volunteers@feltonInst.onmicrosoft.com or using the secure link provided beneath the form.
- Interview / Orientation:
- Once your interest form is submitted, a member of our team will contact you to schedule an in-person interview. During this meeting, we will discuss the program in more detail, learn more about you, and review the next steps in the volunteer process.
