Join us to help limited-income families save money on their rising energy bills while learning how to make their homes more energy-efficient AND reduce our overall carbon footprint to address climate change! Energy Savers Network needs enthusiastic volunteers who are comfortable or willing to learn using basic tools to weatherize low-income homes in Buncombe County, NC.
Our volunteer work days consist of going out to small and mobile homes to implement small energy-efficiency upgrades like replacing light bulbs, adding water aerators to sinks, using caulk and weather stripping to seal windows and doors, insulating water heaters and pipes, adding window inserts, and much more. Our work days are usually Tuesday-Friday 11am - 3pm and one Saturday a month. We can accommodate up to 4 volunteers per day and welcome students, church members, businesses, and carpenters from construction companies to join us!!
