Gender Freedom Society is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to building an inclusive and supportive community for gender-diverse people. Through education, advocacy and community building, we create spaces where everyone can thrive in their authentic selves.
Role Summary:
Gender Freedom Society is seeking a (Volunteer) Fundraising Marketing Specialist to join our team. In the (Volunteer) Fundraising Marketing Specialist role, you will be responsible for planning and executing marketing campaigns and strategies to support the organization's fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategize, plan and execute marketing campaigns to support the organization's fundraising efforts via different channels, including email, social media, and direct mail campaigns.
- Create and manage fundraising and/or marketing content, such as brochures, flyers, and email templates.
- Analyze and report on campaign performance, using data to inform and improve future campaigns.
- Support the Fundraising Manager with creating tailored proposals and presentations for donors, including donor newsletter / impact report.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure consistent messaging, and alignment between fundraising and communication strategies.
- Attend meetings, events, and other functions as needed to represent the organization and advance fundraising goals.
- Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices in fundraising marketing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in fundraising marketing.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
- Experience with fundraising marketing tools, such as email marketing platforms, CRM, and analytics software.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Experience working in a nonprofit or fundraising environment, preferred but not required.
