Volunteer Board Member - Remote

Board of Directors opportunity

Empowering Women Leaders (EWL) is expanding, and we are looking for accomplished professionals who want to use their experience, relationships, and leadership skills to make a meaningful impact.

We are currently adding leaders to our national and local Boards of Directors, with several opportunities based in Fort Worth/DFW, as well as select remote opportunities.

Our board members help shape strategy, build programs and partnerships, strengthen our organization, and create opportunities for women through leadership development, mentorship, education, networking and scholarships.

We are seeking leaders with experience in areas including:

• Fundraising, Sponsorships & Corporate Partnerships
• Business Development & Community Engagement
• Governance & Board Development
• Finance & Accounting
• Marketing, Communications & Public Relations
• Events & Programming
• Membership & Community Growth
• Operations & Project Management
• Executive and Organizational Leadership

You do not need prior nonprofit or board experience to be considered.

We are particularly interested in professionals who have built successful careers and are ready to contribute their expertise, network and perspective to an organization with a meaningful mission.

We welcome executives, entrepreneurs and senior professionals from a wide range of industries and functions. Experience in sales, business development, finance, law, marketing, human resources, operations, community leadership, professional services, fundraising or nonprofit leadership can be particularly valuable.

Commitment: This is a Volunteer Board Position

• Approximately 5–10 hours per month, depending on the position
• This is remote role with a preference for candidates that physically located ideally in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston and surrounding areas
• Board meetings, committee participation and individual initiatives
