Sponsorship & Donations/Major Gifts Volunteer

We are seeking an individual who is experienced and passionate about working K9's and our cause to help us with our Sponsorships, Donations and Grants for our annual fundraising events.

This is a 12 month commitment. 5-10 hours per month 6+ months out from event, 25 hours/month 3+ months out from event,

1 hour in-person meeting in Rochester office per month to go over progress and goals. You are welcome to use our office for mailing/printing for our donation and/or sponsorship campaigns.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize social media, websites, email, phone calls, and more to contact companies for donations and sponsorships
• Design Social Media Marketing
• Utilize communication skills to maintain relationships with sponsors and donors
• Post events on Donation Match, The Share Way, OnBrand, Benevity and other similar websites
• Apply for donations online & In-person
• Apply for Grants online
• Create, print and Mail out Donation/Sponsorship Request letters in Rochester office
• Assist in our annual Capital campaign process (Mail & Online)
• Assist with prep and running Fundraising Events
• Utilize organizational skills by keeping a detailed donation/sponsorship records
• Mail thank you and request letters in a timely manner
• Pick up local donations & drop off at Rochester office
• Attend occasional networking events to create partnerships local to Oakland or Macomb County.
• Create and present 5 minute report/update at our monthly Zoom Board of Directors meetings
• Attend all 3 hosted PLEA Foundation events annually (February, May & October)
• Attend a minimum of 2 Community/Booth events annually

Requirements:

• Must be passionate about working K9's (dogs) and our cause.
• Must have experience with Sponsorship and Donation management
• Proficient in grant proposals and writing
• Experience with Capital Campaigns & Giving Tuesday campaigns
• Experience with Content writing for effective results
• Experience with Microsoft Office & Google Drive
• Preferred experience with Donation Match, The Share Way, OnBrand & Benevity
• Driver's License with good driving record
