Hospice Volunteers Know Their Work Matters!

If you are looking to make a difference in the world, you will know your work matters with hospice.

Franciscan Hospice Volunteers provide compassionate presence for our patients, all of whom are within 6 months of dying. We need patient companions and respite support for caregivers. Volunteers visits hospice patients in private homes as well as in nursing homes and assisted living environments.

Sitting at the bedside, providing respite for caregivers, reading aloud or delivering a meal, singing songs, playing music, and capturing a patient's life story in writing are ways Hospice volunteers enrich the lives of our patients.
