Position Summary
The Volunteer Program Director will oversee the development, coordination, and evaluation of our adult day healthcare programs. This role ensures our services meet the highest standards of care, align with our mission, and comply with all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership & Oversight
- Plan, implement, and evaluate daily and long-term program activities.
- Ensure programs meet community needs and organizational goals.
- Supervise program staff and volunteers, providing coaching and performance feedback.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all services comply with state, county, and funding agency requirements.
- Maintain program documentation, attendance records, and service reports.
- Community Engagement
- Build partnerships with local agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
- Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and outreach activities.
- Budget & Resource Management
- Assist in managing program budgets and allocating resources effectively.
- Support fundraising, grant writing, and reporting related to program needs.
Qualifications
- Passion for serving seniors and adults with disabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, healthcare administration, gerontology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in program management, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
- Knowledge of adult day health regulations and community-based services is a plus.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse staff, volunteers, and community partners.
