About the Role
As the Director of Human Resources, you will lead Grievia’s HR strategy, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, policies, and volunteer relations while fostering an inclusive, supportive, and mission-driven culture.
What You'll Do
- Develop and oversee Grievia's human resources strategy and volunteer lifecycle.
- Lead recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Create, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage volunteer relations, address concerns professionally, and facilitate conflict resolution when needed.
- Develop initiatives that improve volunteer engagement, retention, recognition, and well-being.
- Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational growth.
Who This Role Is For
- Prior experience (2+ years preferred) in human resources, talent acquisition, people operations, or organizational development.
- Strong understanding of recruitment, performance management, employee or volunteer engagement, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
- Passion for building inclusive, compassionate, and psychologically safe workplaces.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, multicultural, and mission-driven environment.
- Ability to provide a commitment of at least 10 hours per week for the role.
