ONG (Setor Social)
Volunteer Fundraising, Outreach & Marketing Opportunities (Remote, 1–4 hrs/week)
Detalhes
Descrição
We are a small, high-impact grassroots effort supporting seven displaced Palestinian families in Gaza. Over the past year, we have built direct, personal relationships with each family and have distributed over $75,000 in aid.
This is not a large, impersonal charity. We stay closely connected with the families, following their day-to-day realities — from urgent needs like food and shelter to moments of resilience, joy, and hope. Our goal is to provide consistent weekly support, while also helping all of the families move toward long-term self-sufficiency by May 2027.
We do due diligence to ensure funds are used for basic living expenses and that the families remain in need, including screening adult recipients against publicly available sanctions lists. We have already "graduated" three families that found other sources of support.
Role Overview
We are seeking one to three highly reliable and proactive volunteers to help ensure consistent weekly fundraising and support basic economic development efforts for the families.
These roles are ideal for people who are comfortable with outreach, organized, and able to follow through consistently week to week.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising (~2 hours per week)
- Text or email donors to request donations if they haven't donated in over a month.
- Help donors get set up for recurring donations on Venmo.
- Organize additional fundraising efforts to cultivate new donors.
Donor Reporting (~1 hour per week)
- Create a monthly report for donors on how much was distributed to each beneficiary family. Include photos and videos obtained from recipients, as well as news about each family.
- Update Chuffed campaign and Google Doc with latest information.
Economic Self-Sufficiency Support (~1–3 hours per month)
- Interface with company that provides Arabic language tutoring certification to tutors.
- Help set up and market profiles for individuals (e.g., language tutoring).
- Think creatively about sustainable, remote-friendly work options for the families that cannot tutor.
What We’re Looking For
- Self-starter(s)

- Strong writing skills or comfort using AI for writing
- Online marketing skills would be ideal, but this can be learned
