ACADEMIC MENTOR:

Become an academic mentor! The mentoring program not only provides Dreamer Scholars with the tools and resources they need to succeed, but also fosters meaningful relationships that can last a lifetime. The impact of mentoring can be significant and long-lasting. As an academic mentor, you will so act as a role model, demonstrating the importance of perseverance, curiosity, and a love for learning.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Commiting one hour a week for an academic school year
2. Supporting Dreamer Scholars either one-on-one or in small groups of five dreamers with SEL, reading, math, science, and other subject areas such as art, diy, gardening, etc..
3. Engaging and participating with Dreamer Scholars in daily program activities
4. Acting as a positive, stable and reliable role model
5. Abiding by the Volunteer Code of Conduct and Program Site Expectations and Rules
