PromisePeople is MAP’s division responsible for recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and organizational operations. The division ensures that every applicant experiences a structured, timely, and professional process—from first application to active contribution.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to manage all volunteer platforms and incoming applications, ensuring that candidates are reviewed, tracked, and moved through the pipeline efficiently.
This role is responsible for building and maintaining a strong, organized recruitment system—ensuring no application is missed, delayed, or unmanaged.
This is a systems + execution role critical to organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Platform Management
- Manage recruitment platforms (Idealist and others)
- Post, update, and maintain job listings
- Ensure roles are accurate, active, and aligned with current needs
Application Review & Screening
- Review incoming applications in a timely manner
- Screen candidates based on role requirements
- Identify strong candidates and move them forward
Pipeline & Tracking Systems
- Maintain organized tracking of all applicants
- Manage candidate stages (applied, reviewed, interview, onboarding)
- Ensure visibility across hiring teams
Candidate Communication
- Communicate with applicants professionally and consistently
- Send updates, interview requests, and follow-ups
- Ensure a respectful and timely candidate experience
Coordination with Hiring Teams
- Work with division leads and hiring managers to align on needs
- Schedule interviews and coordinate next steps
- Ensure smooth handoff from recruitment to onboarding
Process Improvement
- Identify gaps in recruitment workflows
- Improve efficiency, response time, and candidate experience
- Support development of scalable recruitment systems
Accountability & Responsiveness
- Monitor application timelines and ensure no backlog
- Maintain daily or consistent platform engagement
- Ensure all communications are handled within 24–48 hours
Qualifications
Required
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to manage multiple applications and priorities
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Reliability and consistency in follow-through
- Alignment with MAP’s mission and dignity-centered values
Preferred
- Experience in recruiting, HR, or talent coordination
- Experience with applicant tracking or CRM systems
- Familiarity with platforms like Idealist
- Interest in nonprofit operations or people management
Commitment
- Volunteer role
- Approximately 5–10 hours per week
- Minimum 6-month commitment required
- Fully remote
